Professor Griff, pseudonimo di Richard Griffin, è un rapper, educatore e attivista statunitense nato nel 1956. È noto per il suo ruolo come "Ministro dell'informazione" dei Public Enemy a partire dalla fine degli anni '80. Con la sua presenza carismatica e le sue parole incisive, ha contribuito a plasmare una coscienza politica e sociale all'interno del movimento hip-hop. Griff è stato un elemento controverso della band per le sue dichiarazioni antisemite ed omofobiche, che hanno portato al suo allontanamento temporaneo dai Public Enemy nel 1989. Nonostante la controversia, il suo contributo alla musica rap e alla cultura afroamericana rimane significativo. Tra i brani più rappresentativi dei Public Enemy con Griff figura "Fight the Power", un inno contro l'oppressione razziale e sociale che ha segnato un punto di svolta nella storia del genere.
