Mortal Sin è una band australiana di thrash metal formatasi a Sydney nel 1985. Considerati uno dei gruppi più importanti del movimento thrash australiano, hanno contribuito a definire il suono aggressivo e veloce tipico del genere. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da riff veloci e distorti, batteria potente e testi spesso incentrati su temi di violenza, critica sociale e disillusione. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Hammer", "Bloodlust" e "Death Before Dishonor". Mortal Sin hanno pubblicato diversi album in studio, tra cui l'album di debutto omonimo del 1987 e "World of Pain" (1989), considerato uno dei classici del thrash metal australiano. La band ha collaborato con altri artisti importanti del genere, come i Venom e i Slayer. Dopo una pausa negli anni '90, Mortal Sin si sono riuniti nel 2000 per continuare a suonare e registrare musica.
