Of Montreal è un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi nel 1996 a Athens, Georgia, dal visionario Kevin Barnes. Il nome del gruppo deriva da una storia d'amore di Barnes con una ragazza di Montréal che si concluse bruscamente. Barnes ha fondato la band dopo aver lasciato il precedente gruppo The Gerbils. Of Montreal è noto per il suo sound psichedelico e pop, caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, testi surreali e arrangiamenti complessi.
