The Presets sono un duo australiano di Sydney formato da Julian Hamilton e Kim Moyes. I due si sono incontrati nel 1995 al Sydney Conservatorium of Music, dove entrambi studiavano musica. Nel settembre 2005 hanno pubblicato il loro album di debutto, *Beams*, che ha ricevuto una risposta critica positiva. Il loro secondo album, *Apocaylpso*, è stato rilasciato il 12 aprile 2008.
