Leela James è una cantautrice e musicista statunitense di genere R and B e soul. Nata a Los Angeles, California, nel 1978, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'età di 16 anni, esibendosi in locali notturni della città. Nel 2005 ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto, "A Change Is Gonna Come", che ha ricevuto critiche positive e l'ha lanciata nel panorama musicale internazionale.
