Macklemore, pseudonimo di Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, è un rapper e cantautore statunitense nato a Seattle, Washington, nel 1983. Conosciuto per il suo stile rap incisivo e le tematiche sociali affrontate nelle sue canzoni, ha raggiunto la fama internazionale con l'album "The Heist" (2012), in collaborazione con Ryan Lewis. Il singolo "Thrift Shop", estratto dall'album, è diventato un successo planetario, raggiungendo la vetta delle classifiche musicali di diversi paesi.
