Angie Stone, all'anagrafe Angela Laverne Brown, è una cantautrice statunitense di R and B e neo soul. Nata a Columbia, Carolina del Sud, nel 1962, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '80 come membro del gruppo funk The Sequence. Dopo aver raggiunto il successo con brani come «Funk You Up», Stone ha intrapreso una carriera solista alla fine degli anni '90. Il suo album di debutto, *Black Diamond*, pubblicato nel 1999, ha riscosso un grande successo grazie al singolo «No More Drama».
