The Word Alive sono una band post-hardcore americana formatasi a Phoenix, Arizona, nel 2008. Il loro sound si caratterizza per l'utilizzo di elementi melodici e vocali puliti che si alternano a riff pesanti e ritmi aggressivi tipici del genere metalcore. La formazione originale comprendeva Telle Smith (voce), Tony Pizzuti (chitarra), Nick Urlacher (basso) e Matthew Young (batteria).
