U-God, pseudonimo di Lamont Jody Hawkins, è un rapper statunitense nato a New York nel 1970. È membro fondatore del leggendario collettivo hip hop Wu-Tang Clan, noto per aver rivoluzionato il panorama musicale degli anni '90 con un sound crudo e innovativo. U-God si distingue per le sue rime dense e intricate, spesso caratterizzate da una forte componente narrativa. Ha collaborato con numerosi artisti del Wu-Tang Clan, come Method Man e Ghostface Killah, e ha pubblicato diversi album in carriera, tra cui "Golden Arms Redemption" (2009) e "The U-God Experience" (2014). Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "U.G.O.D." , "The 36 Chambers", e "Keep It Real".
