People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
I'mma rep J-Christ 'til the day that I die!
(x2)
I was given a purpose
Put meaning behind the verses
I tried to rap without it, I still ended up wordless, I
I now see I'm a living, walkin' commercial
And when they're tuning in
All they listen to is worship
I'm the rapper that's focusing on the Gospel
Blessed! That's why I'm steady calmed, never hostile
Yes! It's not only about what's in the bible
That's not enough, we gotta get out and make disciples
I've been thinkin' bout all the time that I invest now
I talk about the word, I'm seeing they impressed now
Yo, I've been, growing my mind like it's been stretched out
Gotta dream big when living that Midwest style!
I ain't similar to any living regular that's walking on side
Face stuck up in a cellular
Yo!
I'm awake and I'm focused
I'mma work with the broken
And I'mma stand behind every word that I've spoken
Let it ride
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
I'mma rep J-Christ 'til the day that I die!

I'm a original rapper, I'm at a pivotal place
So many problems are lying inside my hidden face
Gimme the power to testify in your Holy name!
And I won't take it all for granted, that's a holy shame!
I'm in attack-mode, creatively. Satchmo
It's in the track tho. Make the music, give it backbone
Power Black mode. Oh, Black Power. That's a mix up!
I tell the word of God and still proud to put my fist up!
I've got the power in the word, and I'mma need that!
When the devil comes around, I tell him Lean Back
I'mma change my rap name to Slim Fat Joe
Quote the bible and cross it up like it's tic, tac, toe
Where the chicks at, bro? I don't know. And I ain't worried
I'm a one lady man, and I'm just tryna get murried
I'm a one God man, and that's most necessury
I'm the flavor in the pot, been serving that Jo-curry
Let it ride
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
I'mma rep J-Christ 'til the day that I die!

I wish I grew up in the 80's during high school
When Hip-Hop was fresh, and they were using the right tools
Talking bout the microphone, rhythm and mind
Doug E. Fresh, G Flash and the Furious Five
And I can imagine putting Jesus on a track
Bet he'd make a one-take and wouldn't have to bring it back
And I know he'd have the dopest record label, just colossal
The Messiah and the Original Apostles
Talk about a throwback! I know that would be live!
The realest in the world and the realest on the mic!
Hanging on every word, I know they would analyze
And rap until they're full, overload, satisfied
Yo, everything I do is for You, glorified!
You reciprocate the love, so my love is fortified!
So I'mma fix my life, hashtag it organized
I'll be rappin' with my son at the age of 45
Let it ride
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
People talk down, 'cause I say I love God!
I'mma rep J-Christ 'til the day that I die!
