When I wake up, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you,
And when I go out, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you,
And if I get drunk, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who's gettin' drunk with you,
And if I haver, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you.
I would walk five hundred miles,
And I would walk five hundred more
to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door.
When I'm working, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you,
And when the money comes in for the work I do,
I'll pass almost every penny on to you,
And when I come home, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who's coming home to you,
And when I grow old, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you.
I would walk five hundred miles,
And I would walk five hundred more
to be a man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door.
And when I'm dreaming, yeah, you know I'm gonna dream...
I'm gonna dream about the times when I'm with you,
And when I'm lonely, yeah, you know I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be the man who's lonely without you,
I'm gonna be the man who's coming home to you.
I would walk five hundred miles,
And I would walk five hundred more
to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door.
Mummy's alright, Daddy's alright,
They just seem a little weird,
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away,
Mummy's alright, Daddy's alright,
They just seem a little weird,
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away,
Way away, away.
I would walk five hundred miles,
And I would walk five hundred more
to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door.
