Green Day è una band rock americana formatasi a Berkeley, California, nel 1987. Composta da Billie Joe Armstrong (voce, chitarra), Mike Dirnt (basso) e Tré Cool (batteria), il gruppo ha raggiunto un'enorme popolarità negli anni '90 grazie all'album "Dookie" (1994), che ha venduto oltre 10 milioni di copie. Green Day è noto per il suo sound punk rock energico, le liriche spesso introspettive e satiriche, e la forte connessione con i fan. Tra i loro successi più famosi figurano "Basket Case", "Longview", "When I Come Around", "American Idiot" e "Boulevard of Broken Dreams".
