A1 è un gruppo musicale britannico/norvegese formatosi nel 1998. Il gruppo era composto da Mark Read, Paul Marazzi, Ben Adams e Christian Ingebrigtsen. Il loro primo singolo, "Be the First to Believe", entrò nella classifica dei singoli del Regno Unito al numero 6 all'inizio del 1999. Hanno avuto un successo relativo nelle classifiche con due brani al numero uno e otto successi top 10. Nel 2001 hanno vinto un BRIT Award come "British Breakthrough Act". Il gruppo è stato formato dal manager musicale Tim Byrne, che ha anche formato Steps. Il percorso di A1 si è concluso quando il membro originale Paul Marazzi ha lasciato il gruppo nel 2002 e la band ha successivamente deciso di sciogliersi. Nel agosto del 2009 hanno annunciato che avrebbero fatto ritorno, senza Marazzi, per una serie di concerti a Oslo nel dicembre 2009 al Christiania Theatre.
