Amel Larrieux è una cantante e compositrice statunitense di genere soul. Nata nel 1972, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale come membro del gruppo R and B Groove Theory negli anni '90. Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, Larrieux ha intrapreso una carriera da solista con successo, pubblicando album come *Bravebird* (1999) e *Lovely Standards* (2004). La sua musica è caratterizzata da un'atmosfera rilassante e melodie avvolgenti, spesso accompagnate da arrangiamenti jazz. Tra i suoi brani più noti figurano "Get Up", "My Love" e "The Way You Move". Larrieux è stata anche una collaboratrice vocale per artisti come Erykah Badu e Common.
