Il loro debutto risale all'estate del 2009 con il successo virale "You're a Jerk", estratto dall'album di debutto *Skinny Jeanz and a Mic*, pubblicato a settembre dello stesso anno. Il brano ha raggiunto la top thirty della Billboard Hot 100, diventando uno dei primi a portare lo stile jerkin al grande pubblico nazionale. Un secondo singolo, "Tie Me Down" in collaborazione con Ray J, ha riscosso un successo simile, piazzandosi anch'esso nella top thirty.
