Project 86 è un gruppo musicale post-hardcore statunitense formatosi in California nel 1996. Il nome del gruppo deriva da una frase pronunciata da un personaggio di un film che i membri consideravano significativo. La band ha raggiunto popolarità negli anni 2000 con album come "The Enemy" (2003) e "Building the Machine" (2005), caratterizzati da sonorità aggressive e testi introspettivi che affrontano temi di fede, lotta interiore e ricerca di identità. Il gruppo ha collaborato con artisti come Underoath e The Used, contribuendo a definire il sound del post-hardcore americano. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Enemy", "Building the Machine" e "This Is My God".
