They say there is a tree
A rare tree, a rattlin' tree
Nowhere to be found
Staying safe and sound
On that tree there is a branch
A rare branch, a rattlin' branch
That's where we go
On a branch there's a twig
A rare twig, a rattlin' twig
Up on the branch
On the tree that's laying low
Somewhere in the bog
For no one to see, oh
Twig on the branch
And the branch on the tree
And the tree down in the valley-o
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
On the twig there is a leaf
A rare leaf, a rattlin' leaf
Up on the twig
On the branch that's made for it
That leaf on the tree
Who's gonna find it?
No one but me, oh!
On the leaf there's a nest
A rare nest, a rattlin' nest
Nest on the leaf
That's growing on the twig
On the twig on the branch
On the tree that I am looking for
Nest on the leaf
And the leaf on the twig
And the twig on the branch
And the branch on the tree
And the tree down in the valley-o
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
And when that bog is found, I'll shout hoorah, hoorah!
A bird in the nest on the leaf will make my day, my day!
On the branch on the tree we'll be swaying
And the fiddle and the drum will be playing
On the branch on the tree
And the tree on the bog
On the bog down in the valley-o
The bird on the egg in the nest on the leaf will sing, we'll sing!
And the twig on the branch on the tree on the bog will swing, we'll swing!
High up in the air she'll be soaring
From high above she'll be calling
From the nest on the leaf
On the twig on the branch
On the tree down in the valley-o
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
Ho, ho, the rattlin' bog
The bog down in the valley-o
Where is the bog, the rattlin' bog
Down there in the valley-o?
