I pray to god my souls to keep
I found my faith before my feet
We both knew it was time for us to go
We left behind the happiness broad daylights and safety nets
To prove that we could make it in our own
For faith will deliver to the hungry and the giver
To the weary and to those who lose their hope
And though it won't be easy
I knew she came along to please me
So when the light went out I stopped and held her close
And when the night was dark she reached out for
I asked her will you trust me this one time
She swallowed up her fear and showed me that she loved me
As the rain came falling from her eyes
As the rain came falling from her eyes
Patience is a virtue from those who wish wait
But darkness waits for no man in this world
And the life we left behind us no longer in our reach
Now we've passed the point of no return
For faith will deliver to the hungry and the giver
To the weary and to those who lose their hope
And though it won't be easy
I knew she came along to please me
So when the light went out I stopped and held her close
And when the night was dark she reached out for
I asked her will you trust me this one time
She swallowed up her fear and showed me that she loved me
As the rain came falling from her eyes
And on the road we found a sense of freedom
We were owing to nobody's but ourselves
And the reason that we'll make is beyond this fear of failing is knowledge that true love will never die
And when the night was dark she reached out for
I asked her will you trust me this one time
She swallowed up her fear and showed me that she loved me
As the rain came falling from her eyes
As the rain came falling from her eyes
