Chris Ledoux è stato un cantante, cantautore e scultore americano di fama nazionale. Nato il 2 ottobre 1948 in Wyoming, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '70, combinando la passione per la musica country con la sua esperienza nel rodeo. È considerato uno dei pionieri del genere "cowboy music", un sottogenere della musica country che celebra la vita e le tradizioni del West americano. Le sue canzoni spesso raccontano storie di cowboy, cavalli, rodei e paesaggi desertici, offrendo un ritratto autentico della cultura rurale americana. Oltre alla musica, Ledoux era anche un abile scultore di bronzo, realizzando opere d'arte che raffiguravano scene di vita quotidiana del West. La sua carriera musicale è stata segnata da successi come "Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy", "The Ballad of the Big Horn" e "I'm a Rodeo Clown". Chris Ledoux è morto il 9 marzo 2005 all'età di 56 anni, lasciando un'eredità musicale che continua ad ispirare artisti e appassionati di musica country.
