Vital Remains è una band di death metal americana proveniente da Providence, Rhode Island. Formatasi nel 1988, il gruppo ha contribuito a definire l'evoluzione del genere con un sound brutale e tecnico, caratterizzato da riff veloci e distorti, batteria potente e growl gutturali. Tra i loro album più importanti figurano "Forever Underground" (1992), "The Cleansing" (1993) e "Deathlust" (1997). Vital Remains ha collaborato con artisti come Cannibal Corpse e Morbid Angel, consolidando la propria posizione nell'underground metal. Alcuni dei brani più rappresentativi del gruppo includono "Bloodshed", "The Serpent's Tongue" e "Entombment in the Temple of Death".
