Trouble è una band americana di doom metal considerata uno dei pionieri del genere, insieme a gruppi come Candlemass e Saint Vitus. La band ha creato uno stile distintivo prendendo spunto dai heavy metal britannici Black Sabbath e Judas Priest e dal rock psichedelico degli anni '70. Criticamente accolta, la loro prima opera, "Psalm 9", e il secondo album, "The Skull", sono considerati pietre miliari del doom metal, mentre le uscite all'inizio degli anni '90 su Def American hanno preso una direzione più stoner metal.
