Gli Stereophonics sono una band rock gallese formatasi a Cwmaman nel 1992. Composti da Kelly Jones (voce, chitarra), Richard Jones (basso), Adam Zindani (chitarra) e Jamie Morrison (batteria), il gruppo è considerato uno dei massimi esponenti della seconda ondata del Britpop. Il loro sound si caratterizza per un mix di riff rock energici, melodie orecchiabili e testi introspettivi che spesso esplorano temi come l'amore, la nostalgia e la vita quotidiana. 1997 ha visto il successo internazionale con l'album *Word Gets Around*, contenente hit come "The Bartender and the Thief" e "Just Looking".
