Madcon è un duo hip hop norvegese formato da Tshawe Baqwa (Kapricon) e Yosef Wolde-Mariam (Critical). Kapricon, nato in Germania da genitori sudafricani, ha trascorso l'infanzia a Tveita, vicino ad Oslo. Critical, invece, è di nascita norvegese ma di origine etiope ed eritrea. Il duo si è formato nel 2000 e ha raggiunto la popolarità internazionale con il singolo "Beggin'" del 2010, che ha dominato le classifiche europee. Madcon è noto per un sound che fonde elementi di hip hop, R and B e pop, caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili e testi in inglese e norvegese.
