Driving down this lonely road
Got your pictures on the dashboard
Crazy how I got a bright future
But I tend to focus on the past more
I swear to God you're the only thing
That I trade these cards and this cash for
Only think I like but still ask for
Hell with the past let's fight for a life
To here and now smile on my face but my spirit's down
Back then I had clouded judgment
These days they see clearly now
(Pre-Hook)
And here I'm stuck on your pictures
The best of lust when I wish it
I be lying to say I didn't miss you
'Cause whenever ends I'm with you
(Hook)
Got a glass half full if your love I've been sipping on
And I'm praying you gon fill it up
You're saying half empty in so many words
You're telling me you didn't give it up
And I swear that I'm optimistic
I never thought that you would leave , not without my life
I just pray that one day you can get it right
I know you're tired of the games, you're tired of the fights
I just pray that one day we can get it right
And I swear I'm optimistic
And I swear I'm optimistic
(Verse)
Not even though I ran through shit who say bow
The best you ever had who came close
All these hoes be tryin to rob my way
It's probably why I put it in the same boat
But with you was different, you was different
When I opened up you would listen
The only thing between me and you was distance
What's the point of success if you was missing
But when push gonna shove
It's a long list of women and I put you above
I still put you above
Took for granted everything it took you to love
(Pre-Hook)
And here I'm stuck on your pictures
The best of lust when I wish it
I be lying to say I didn't miss you
'Cause whenever ends I'm with you
