I Beastie Boys sono un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi nel 1979 a New York City. Inizialmente hardcore punk, il gruppo ha sperimentato con diversi generi musicali prima di affermarsi come pionieri dell'hip-hop negli anni '80. Il loro album di debutto, *Licensed to Ill* (1986), è stato un successo internazionale, raggiungendo la vetta delle classifiche americane e contribuendo a diffondere l'hip-hop mainstream.
