Epica è un gruppo musicale olandese di symphonic metal, attivo dal 2002. Le loro sonorità si caratterizzano per l'unione di elementi heavy metal con melodie classiche e orchestrali, creando un sound epico e coinvolgente. Il gruppo è composto da Simone Simons (voce), Mark Jansen (chitarra), Coen Janssen (tastiere), Rob van der Loo (basso) e Ariën van Weesenbeek (batteria).
