Santana è un gruppo musicale statunitense fondato dal chitarrista messicano Carlos Santana, considerato uno dei più grandi chitarristi di tutti i tempi. Il genere musicale del gruppo è principalmente rock con influenze latine. Carlos Santana è nato ad Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, in Messico, e si trasferì a Tijuana con la sua famiglia. Qui imparò a suonare musica dal padre, che faceva parte di un gruppo mariachi. Le sue influenze musicali furono i bluesman degli anni '50 e '60 e i rocker. Tijuana fu il suo terreno d'addestramento iniziale, suonando in cantine e perfezionando le sue abilità. Dopo essersi trasferito negli Stati Uniti con la famiglia, Santana si stabilì nella Baia di San Francisco, dove formò The Santana Blues Band, che poi divenne semplicemente Santana. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '70 con album come *Abraxas* (1970) e *Santana III* (1971), caratterizzati da un sound psichedelico e fusion di rock, jazz e musica latina. Alcuni dei brani più rappresentativi del gruppo sono: "Black Magic Woman", "Oye Como Va", "Smooth" (in collaborazione con Rob Thomas).
