Frank Vincent Zappa (1940-1993) è stato un musicista, compositore, produttore discografico e regista statunitense considerato uno dei più influenti artisti del XX secolo. Nato a Baltimore, Maryland, Zappa iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60 come leader del gruppo The Mothers of Invention, con cui pubblicò album innovativi e provocatori che mescolavano rock, jazz, musica classica e avant-garde. Oltre alla musica, Zappa si è dedicato anche al cinema, dirigendo film come "200 Motels" (1971) e scrivendo saggi politici. La sua eredità musicale continua a influenzare generazioni di artisti.
