Moonsorrow è un gruppo musicale finlandese di folk metal, attivo dal 1995. Considerati uno dei pionieri del genere, la band fonde elementi tradizionali della musica finlandese con sonorità heavy metal, creando un'atmosfera epica e malinconica. I testi spesso trattano temi mitologici nordici, storie di guerra e paesaggi selvaggi. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Viides Lintu", "Suden Morsian" e "Kivenpyörä". Moonsorrow ha pubblicato numerosi album, tra cui "Folklore" (2001), "Vänriit" (2003) e "Hiiden Henki" (2008).
